Virus Intrusion Prevention Remediation Engine
Wow!… Another antivirus software? Since I started my business this is the third software that I have used or recommended. First was Avira; that has the nifty little umbrella that opens up after the software loads (I guess to mean you are protected from the rain?). Next; was ESET that had the irobot dude that I think is so ingenuous, but what does that mean? All three are very good antivirus software, but the first two can’t wave a stick at VIPRE!
Vipre is new software but the development of this antivirus is first class! I recently downloaded the trial version as a test run to see how this compares with the competition! The installation took about five minutes and that included the download from the server, and the uninstallation of Norton (PC HOG) Antivirus. I, of course, did my initial quick scan of my laptop and VIPRE found 61 threats of tracking cookies and quarantined them in less than six minutes! Did I mention that I still had Norton (PC Hog) Antivirus installed? This left me amazed and upset that I wasted my money on purchasing the market’s leader that still left me vulnerable to Malware and Key logger viruses! I was and still am elated that I currently have VIPRE installed on all my laptops, desktops and it doesn’t bog down my systems and they are free of Malware and Spyware viruses. I highly recommend VIPRE Antivirus and suggest you click the link on the services page and purchase this up and coming software, but if not at least download the free day trail.
Pros: Vipre has one of the most efficient scanning engines with a small scan footprint. The home site license is perfect for households with multiple PCs.
Cons: The installation is thorough, but requires a restart.
The Verdict: The Vipre brand may still be pretty new, but the software is definitely worth purchasing
